go back to writing the supplemental textbooks that I tried my hand at a few years ago. It's a nice chunk of change for not a whole lot of work.
Of course back THEN I wasn't working a demanding full-time job and didn't have a socially adept teen to shuttle from one trendy place to another either.
So, basically, I work the 9-10 hour "day job", come home fix/eat dinner then start working the "side job" for a few hours before I collapse into bed for 3-5 hours of sleep...and then do it all again the next day.
Then there are the weekends. Enter Diva the Social Butterfly. She would be at a party, mall, movie or some other function 24/7 iffen I let her. So, when I'm not shuttling her and her friends somewhere (cuz lord knows I am the ONLY parent that has a driver's license and a car in this upper middle-class neighborhood! Grrr!) I'm running errands, cleaning, or doing one of the countless mundane things a mother does on her weekend. Then, if I can squeeze it in (read: Yeah, right!) I go on a date with my Sweetie, or I take a bubble bath, or I (dare I dream?!) work on my fiction a bit.
But then there are weekends like the one that just passed. Woke up late Firday night (like 4am) with the migraine from HELL! Kept me flat on my back for most of Saturday (got up around 7PM). So, that meant I spent all of Sunday doing everything I needed to do the day before...of course I STILL need to get the oil changed in the truck...guess that'll wait til next Saturday. *sigh*
But I just wanted y'all to know that I didn't fall off the planet, nor am I off somewhere festering (what a awesomely gross word that is!) at the bottom of a deep hole. I'm just busy. But I'll try to post a bit more often...
